The following items listed below provides a general description of unnaceptable practices by sales agents.

Agents who do not adhere to ETI's policy's in addition to Visa/Mastercard policies will be immediately terminated and subject to legal/criminal investigation.

Sales agent verbally verifies a merchant lease
Sales agent provides false information on site survey
Sales agent forges signatures of the merchant
Helping a merchant try to get setup with a new provider since the merchant's current processor just shut them down for excessive chargebacks/fraud/credits, etc
Knowingly puts someone's partner, brother, sister, etc. on the application because the actual owner of the business is on the CTMF File.
Knowingly misrepresents the type of business to obtain an approval.
Gets merchant to sign long term leases while promising to reimburse them for their first 6 months of lease payments.
Participates in fraud by helping merchants set-up accounts to simply process stolen credit cards (skimmed cards)
Telling merchant they can cancel in 30 days
Telling merchant that they only have to pay X amount per month - no swipe etc.
Telling merchant there is only a discount rate
The sales agent has been advised that the merchant is on TMF and has to be closed. Rep requests that merchant be allowed to continue processing a little while longer in so that "he can get paid."
Sets up a small chain of related merchant accounts at all different locations under different owner names while actually doing the processing at his own office and is affiliated with the chain.

NOTE: All ISO/MSP sales agents will go through a criminal background investigation, credit check and CMTF verification before being allowed to sell merchant services for ETI. The credit check is used to verify your identity with the background investigation and poor credit will not disqualify you. If you offer leased equipment you will have to have your own lease relationship as we don't provide leasing for outside sales agents.
